Digital breakdowns are ubiquitous in highly digitized societies. While such breakdowns offer opportunities to study how to mitigate breakdown risks, it is also a timely moment for ethnographic studies of the local experience and practical handling of breakdowns in themselves.

The Carlsberg funded research project DigiBreak investigates how breakdowns are understood and enacted across interconnected Danish-Greenlandic digital infrastructures. To launch the project, we are hosting an afternoon with introductions and lectures on issues of cybersecurity, repair and breakdowns in digital systems and cross-country challenges and strategies. Come and join us in discussing and celebrating.
