Centre for Education Policy Research (CfU) are pleased to announce that Professor Mette Buchardt has been inducted into ‘Kraks Blå Bog’ (Krak's Blue Book), the Danish biographical dictionary of significant persons in the Danish society. Being listed in Kraks Blå Bog is a recognition of her ongoing dedication and impact in research in Denmark and a way to preserve her contributions for the future. Since its inception in 1910, Kraks Blå Bog has been a directory of notable individuals in Denmark who have excelled in their respective fields. This honor recognizes Buchardt’s significant contributions to research, alongside 9 other Danish scholars. Buchardt has been inducted this year alongside a total of 75 other people ranging from politicians to artists who based on their merits within their respective fields have been deemed culturally significant in Denmark. Throughout her career, Professor Mette Buchardt has distinguished herself as a specialist regarding education- and social reform in the European states, focusing on the fields of history of education, comparative welfare state history, education policy and politics, curriculum history, church history and historical religion research. Her current research includes exploring the influence of the politics of housing and urban planning and politics of integration on the development and transformation of the welfare state.
