Visiting Scholar from Link Campus University in Rome to Join Department of Culture and Learning

This August, Aalborg University’s Department of Culture and Learning is pleased to welcome media scholar Paola De Rosa as a visiting scholar, strengthening the ongoing collaboration with Link Campus University through the European project GEMINI and other research activities. Paola De Rosa is a media researcher at Link Campus University, specializing in media representation, gender issues, and public communication.

This August, Aalborg University’s Department of Culture and Learning is pleased to welcome media scholar Paola De Rosa as a visiting scholar, strengthening the ongoing collaboration with Link Campus University through the European project GEMINI and other research activities. Paola De Rosa is a media researcher at Link Campus University, specializing in media representation, gender issues, and public communication.

Paola De Rosa will be in residence from 1 to 31 August 2025, working closely with Associate Professors Kim Toft Hansen and Louise Brix Jacobsen. The primary focus of her visit will be the co-authorship of the final volume of the GEMINI project, titled Young Adults, Gender Issues and Serial Dramas: Research-Action Approaches to Consumption, Patterns and Teaching in the European Mediascape, which will be published by Edinburgh University Press in 2026.

In addition to this central research activity, Paola De Rosa will contribute to several academic initiatives during her stay, including a thematic departmental workshop on Media and Masculinities and participation in the annual retreat of the Literature, Media & Society research group.

Paola De Rosa will be based at Kroghstræde 3 close to collaborative researchers. She will be visiting on an independently financed basis, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering international academic exchange, advancing media studies research, and continued collaboration between media scholars from AAU and LCU.
